Privacy Policy

Effective July 7, 2026

The short version: Scrybin has no account system, no servers, no analytics, and no ads. Your collection data is stored on your device and never sent to us — we couldn't read it if we wanted to. The app's only network traffic is fetching public card data from Scryfall and, when you import a deck, public deck lists from Archidekt.

Who we are

Scrybin is an iOS app for tracking where the Magic: The Gathering cards in your collection physically live. This policy covers the Scrybin app and this website. Questions about it can be sent to support@devsdecide.com.

Data we collect

None. Scrybin does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. Specifically, the app has:

  • No account or sign-in. We never ask for your name, email, or any identifier.
  • No backend. There are no Scrybin servers. Your collection never leaves your device through the app.
  • No analytics or tracking. No analytics SDKs, no crash reporters, no advertising identifiers, no third-party trackers.

Where your collection data lives

Everything you enter — cards, bins, decks, movement history, wishlists — is stored in a local database on your device. It is included in your normal device backups (iCloud Backup or computer backups) according to your own iOS settings; those backups are governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

Deleting the app deletes this data. You can export your collection to a CSV file at any time from Manage → Export; what you do with an exported file is up to you.

Network requests the app makes

Scrybin fetches public card information — names, sets, collector numbers, and card images — from Scryfall, a free Magic: The Gathering card database. When you search for a card or load its image, the app sends that card search to Scryfall's servers, along with the technical details any web request carries (such as your IP address). These requests identify cards, not you: they contain no account, no advertising identifier, and nothing about the rest of your collection.

Scryfall's handling of requests is described in the Scryfall privacy policy.

When you import a deck by its Archidekt link, the app requests that public deck list from Archidekt's servers, along with the same standard request metadata. These requests identify the deck being imported, not you. Archidekt's handling of requests is described in the Archidekt privacy policy.

This website

This site is a set of static pages hosted on Vercel. We run no analytics on it. Vercel, as the hosting provider, processes standard server logs (such as IP addresses) to deliver the site; see the Vercel privacy policy. Page typography is served by Google Fonts, which receives the standard request metadata needed to deliver font files.

Children

Scrybin does not collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or port — your data is already entirely in your hands, on your device. If you believe this policy is inaccurate in any way, contact us and we will investigate and correct it.

Changes to this policy

If Scrybin ever adds a feature that changes what data is handled — for example, optional sync — this policy will be updated before that feature ships, with the effective date above revised. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes.
